🚨 Morning Traffic Alert – Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 07:37 AM

Dear drivers, commuters, and travelers, This Wednesday morning brings serious delays and traffic disruptions across the country due to multiple accidents and roadblocks. If you’re planning to hit the road, it’s essential to check the latest updates

and consider alternative routes. We’ve gathered the most important traffic information to help you reach your destination safely and on time.

❗ Major Accidents and Traffic Jams: 🔴 M0 Motorway – Eastern section near Vecsés (toward M5)

At kilometer 34, two cars and a small truck collided. The scene has been cleared and all lanes are now open, but a 10-kilometer-long traffic jam remains and is dissipating slowly. Drive with extra caution in this area!

🔴 M5 Motorway – Toward Röszke, bypassing Kecskemét. At kilometer 85, a car crashed into a fixed road divider. Traffic is currently limited to the emergency lane, causing a 3-kilometer-long queue. Expect delays and slow movement.

🔨 M3 Motorway – Toward Budapest, near Mogyoród. Pavement renovation is underway at kilometer 22. Traffic has slowed down behind the construction zone, leading to occasional congestion.

⚠️ Main Road 2 – Through Dunakeszi. A multi-vehicle accident at kilometer 18 has left only half the roadway passable. Vehicles are backed up, causing significant delays.

🟠 Main Road 7 – Bypass near Székesfehérvár. At kilometer 74 (toward Letenye), a vehicle breakdown is blocking the outer lane. Traffic is flowing in the inner lane only. Drive with increased caution.

🛑 Main Road 47 – Near Berettyóújfalu. Due to an accident at kilometer 34, there is a partial road closure. Traffic is being directed by flaggers – please follow their instructions carefully.

🔧 Good news! On the M8 Motorway near Dunaújváros, the Pentele Bridge has reopened after previous closures. Between kilometers 79 and 81, one lane is available in both directions. Pedestrians and cyclists are also allowed to cross during ongoing maintenance.

🌍 International Traffic – Border Updates: Slovak-Hungarian minor border crossings in the Bratislava, Trnava, and Nitra regions are currently closed to vehicles over 3.5 tons.

Transporting even-toed ungulates is only permitted via the Parassapuszta border crossing. Major crossings (e.g., Rajka, Komárom, Vámosszabadi) require disinfection gate inspections before crossing.

📣 Tips for Navigating the Morning Rush: Avoid affected sections of the M0, M5, and M3 motorways if possible. Leave earlier or consider using alternative routes. Enable push notifications to stay updated with real-time traffic alerts.

Follow official updates from Útinform or the National Police.

🛑 Drive safely, patiently, and attentively! A little caution and planning can save you from long delays or worse — an accident. If possible, postpone your trip or use public transportation. Most importantly: get to your destination safely!
