After doctors had given her only a “zero percent” chance of survival, an unborn baby defied all predictions, earning the nickname “Baby Hulk” due to her rare condition. Armani, the daughter of Chelsey and Blake Milby, was born with a lymphangioma,
a disease that causes non-cancerous growths in the lymphatic vessels. As a result, her torso and arms developed to unusual sizes, making her resemble a tiny bodybuilder, and her mother affectionately called her “Mini Hulk.”

Armani’s condition was diagnosed during the seventeenth week of pregnancy. At birth, she weighed 5.4 kilograms, sparking curiosity among strangers who assumed Chelsey was expecting triplets. Despite the grim predictions,

Armani displayed remarkable resilience, astonishing everyone in the delivery room by crying immediately after her cesarean at 33 weeks. Her father, Blake, prayed outside the delivery room, while Chelsey recalls being overwhelmed with fear and experiencing a panic attack before the birth.

When she first received the diagnosis, Chelsey was devastated and shocked. She admits that she had never heard of the condition before, and the images she found during her research left her deeply unsettled.
She recalls her pain, questioning why her daughter had to face such challenges while her other two children were healthy. Yet, her perspective completely changed when Armani was born. The moment she finally held her daughter,

the prevailing emotion was gratitude; her tears were no longer of fear, but of awe and wonder at the tiny life in her arms.
After birth, Armani and her family were transferred to a specialized hospital in Cincinnati, where her journey of recovery began. Chelsey also shared that she experienced a form of postpartum depression during this difficult time.
She describes their path as a true “roller coaster,” with daily challenges, yet she remained determined to stay strong for Armani and her other children.

The family continues to have high hopes for Armani’s future, as her condition can improve with upcoming surgeries. Some of the excess fluid has already been drained from her arms, and her mother now affectionately calls her “Squishy.”

Chelsey joyfully observes that Armani is reaching important developmental milestones, such as rolling over and attempting to say “mama,” clear signs of her progress. The Milbys are determined to give her the best life possible and celebrate every day the uniqueness and courage of their “miracle baby.”
